A £40 million out of town retail development with Keyland Developments Keyland Developments (Retail) Ltd and in conjunction with the City of York Council.
One of the largest retail parks in the North, Foss Islands is a 5.85 hectare (14.48 acre) retail scheme on the inner ring road which has regenerated a large area and created around 200 new jobs.
As well as the development itself Keyland Gregory delivered major new infrastructure including a new link road between James Street and Heworth Road and new pedestrian and cycle routes as well as a new £8 million eco depot for York City Council; the largest building of its type in Europe
Foss Islands Retail Park comprises a total of 157,000 sq. ft. of retail space including a food supermarket of 82,000 sq. ft. with 430 car spaces, plus 75,000 sq. ft. of non-food retail in a terrace with 214 car spaces and extensive landscaping.
Occupiers include Wm Morrison plc, Homebase, Kwik-Fit, Kutchenhaus, Frankie & Bennys, Pets at Home, Home Sense and Dreams.
