Developers have announced that only three homes remain available for sale at Church View, a popular new residential scheme in the picturesque Nidderdale village of Dacre Banks. Joint venture partners Gregory Homes and Ridgefield Property have sold eight of the eleven family properties currently under construction prompting commitment to start a second phase later this year.
The Partnership is building a selection of two, three- and four-bedroom houses on the 2-acre site on Church Hill, next to the River Nidd and in a region formally recognised as an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’.
Andrew Foggitt, Development Director at Gregory Homes said, “We are delighted to confirm two further properties under offer leaving just 3 three-bedroom properties available for immediate occupation. We have seen a lot of interest in the development, particularly amongst downsizers and empty nesters and this has prompted us to commit to a second phase of eleven more family homes on the site. We are about to appoint a contractor and expect to be on site by late Summer.”
There is currently a critical shortage of new homes in the Yorkshire Dales and the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority has urged more commitment to the delivery of houses within the protected park as the current housing crisis continues to force people out of the area. Church View contributes to the Authority’s target to deliver 55 new homes within the boundary each year with a select number of family homes of traditional character and in keeping with the local environment.
As part of the development, the partnership is supporting the local area through Section 106 contributions. This includes over £35,000 to upgrade Dacre and Hartwith Village Hall and over £8,000 contribution to outdoor sports facilities in the form of improvements to Darley Head Cricket Ground.
Properties at Church View are priced from £250,000 to £400,000. For further details contact John Shaw FRICS on 07392 000922.
