Gregory Property Group has completed deals to sell its two remaining industrial units at Ossett 40 near Wakefield.
The Monaghan Group has secured a 12,000 sq ft unit to relocate their Architectural Hardware division to new premises from a local site. Investment group Camden Ventures has also secured a 12,000 sq ft unit for Cardium Products Ltd which manufactures desserts under its Freaks of Nature brand.
The largest unit, comprising 32,000 sq ft was sold to local firm Simpson Packaging almost immediately after Gregory Property Group acquired the site in 2015.
Located just off Junction 40 of the M1, Ossett 40 is the first speculative commercial development of its size to progress in the Wakefield area, popular for industrial occupation, since before the economic downturn.
Andrew Foggitt, Director at Gregory Property Group, said, “We are delighted to complete the last two deals at Ossett 40 which has been a very successful venture for us. Ossett is a popular location for industrial occupiers because of its excellent transport links and labour force. We felt that that there was strong enough demand in the local area to speculatively develop, retaining Simpson Packaging in the local area with a new design and build unit, followed by two quick sales before completion is testament to that.”
The Leeds offices of Bilfinger GVA and Gent Visick were retained by Gregory Property Group to market the development.
