Gregory Property Group, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, has announced a restructure to its management team following the news that existing Commercial Director Richard Tovey is to leave the business at the end of the year.
Whilst founder Barry Gregory will continue his role as Executive Chairman of the business, Andrew Foggitt will step into Richard’s role leaving open an opportunity for residential manager for which Gregory is wishing to recruit. Philip Lees continues his role as Project Director for the company and Marjorie Robertson as Company Secretary and accountant.
Barry Gregory said, “We are of course sorry that Richard will be leaving the business at the end of the year. His loyalty and dedication to the business has been tremendous and this, together with his expertise, has helped to make our business successful, even through tough and competitive times. We wish him every success for the future.
Richard Tovey confirmed that he is leaving to pursue a new role saying, “It has been a great pleasure to work alongside Barry for 20 years: we have undertaken almost 40 schemes together, which have been very enjoyable. For many of those years we have pitched above our weight and in doing so achieved a strong reputation in delivering complex projects for the region and beyond. Importantly the Group has emerged from the recession as one of the busiest in the region. Barry should be commended for showing such drive and commitment after 30 years. He is an excellent ambassador for the region.”
Barry continues, “It makes perfect sense for Andrew Foggitt to step into Richard’s role having held a senior position in the business for the last eighteen months bringing forward residential developments. His significant development expertise, sector knowledge and regional contacts are extremely valuable as we continue our drive to acquire and develop new sites.”
Foggitt who is a well-known operator in the Yorkshire region, has previously held senior roles with Donaldsons Chartered Surveyors, Tranville Developments and Buzzard Developments. He has managed a total asset value of £45 million with residential schemes in Yeadon, Horsforth and Rawdon and commercial projects including Lidl in Rotherham, B&Q and Halfords in Grimsby, Co-op in Leeds, Trafalgar Park in Keighley.
Current projects include retail schemes at Bradford Road in Brighouse and Great Eastern Way in Rotherham with industrial schemes at East Leeds Enterprise Zone and Ossett 40 in Wakefield. Mixed use projects are underway at Regent Street, Leeds and Bradford Road, Menston and Gregory has recently completed a leisure scheme in Harrogate for Travelodge and Pure Gym.
