Gregory Projects Limited has submitted a full planning application to develop a three acre site in Ossett, near Wakefield and deliver 56,500 sq. ft. of new, high specification industrial accommodation.
The Leeds based developer has confirmed that it hopes to start on site by early summer following strong occupier interest. In particular, it is in advanced discussions with a business on a 32,500 sq. ft. unit and also two firms both considering units of approximately 12,000 sq. ft.
‘Ossett 40’ on Milner Way is located just one mile from J40 of the M1. Historically it was occupied by fellmongers Nettleton & Porter Limited but more recently the buildings were demolished to make way for regeneration. The site already has outline planning permission for 50,000 sq. ft. across three buildings.
Richard Tovey, Director at Gregory Projects, part of the Gregory Property Group, said, “Ossett is a popular location for industrial occupiers because of its excellent transport links and labour force. Unsurprisingly we have received a lot of interest and anticipate having occupiers for all three units prior to completion of the construction at Christmas this year.”
‘Ossett 40’ offers units with integral offices, parking and generous yards with design and build packages available for occupiers on a freehold or leasehold basis. The three units are expected to be ready for occupation by December 2015. GVA Grimley and Gent Visick in Leeds are jointly appointed to market the scheme.
