Gregory Property Group has announced that it is relocating its offices from Leeds city centre to Cardale Court in Harrogate; a development it undertook in the 1990’s.
The well-known Yorkshire developer, established in 1985, moved to the Leeds central business district in 2001. During that time, it a been responsible for landmark regeneration schemes including the £40m Foss Islands Retail Park in York and the £40m Broad Street Plaza destination in Halifax. It has also delivered out of town retail parks in Darlington, Brighouse and Rotherham. Large office schemes on Whitehall Road and Wellington Street have also featured and more recently the Group ventured into the residential market through Gregory Homes.
Founder Barry Gregory said, “Our presence in Leeds city centre has proved very productive, helping us to become a key player in the regional commercial property sector with a number of joint ventures.
“In more recent years we have come to recognise the ‘Leeds City Region’ as a much wider geographical area and, as our 17-year lease reaches expired, other suitable premises became available in Harrogate which are a good alternative with additional parking.
“As we have overtaken a commendable 30 years in business we now look forward to pushing ahead with further commercial and residential projects across the region remaining active in seeking new and varied opportunities.
Current ventures include the speculative development of 150,000 sq ft of distribution space at Park 32 in Pontefract along with a two-acre site suitable for 40,000 sq ft of industrial space adjoining the East Leeds Link Road, together with residential developments in Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate and Monk Fryston.
